About NamVizha
NamVizha — நம் விழா, our celebration — is software for the way Indian families and institutions actually host an event.
Why it exists
A wedding is not one occasion. It is an engagement, a muhurtham and a reception, spread over days, with a guest list that lives in three people's phones and a catering count that changes until the morning of the function. Families already do this work. They do it in WhatsApp groups, printed lists and a spreadsheet somebody's cousin maintains, and the pieces do not talk to each other.
NamVizha puts the pieces in one place: the website guests are sent to, the invitations, the replies, the guest list, the door, the stream for relatives who could not travel, and the photographs afterwards. One event, one plan, one bill.
What we build for
- Tamil and English, both properly. Not a translated afterthought — the guest-facing pages are written in both, because the person opening an invitation on a phone may read only one of them.
- The phone in a guest's hand, not the laptop on a desk. Guest pages are built to open quickly on an ordinary connection, because that is where they are actually opened.
- Events that end. A celebration has a date and an afterwards. Plans are bought per event rather than as a subscription that keeps charging once the function is over.
- Guests' details are the family's, not ours. A guest list belongs to the host who built it. What we do with personal information, and for how long, is set out in the privacy policy.
