Privacy policy
Last updated 30 August 2026.
This explains what personal information NamVizha collects, why, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers two different groups of people: our customers, and the guests whose details a customer uploads.
Who is responsible
Rithvin Infotech, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, decides how and why personal information is handled here, and is the data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the controller under the GDPR — except for guest lists, where the position is different and important:
A guest list belongs to the host who built it. When a customer uploads names, telephone numbers and email addresses of the people they are inviting, that customer decides why those details are held and what is done with them. We process them on that customer's instructions, to run their event. If you are a guest and want your details corrected or removed, ask the host who invited you first — they can do it directly. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will help.
This website collects nothing
The pages you are reading now set no cookies, run no analytics and contain no third-party trackers. Reading this site leaves nothing behind on your device and creates no record about you with us. Our web server keeps ordinary request logs — which page was requested, when, and from which network address — for security and diagnosis, and those are deleted on a rolling basis.
If that changes we will say so here before it does, and anything that needs your consent will ask for it.
What we collect when you use NamVizha
If you are a customer
- Your account: name, email address, telephone number, and a protected form of your password.
- Your billing details: billing name, address, telephone number, country, and GSTIN if you give one.
- Your purchases: what you bought, when, for how much, and the invoice.
- Your event: everything you enter about it, and everything you upload to it.
- Security records: sign-in times and devices, so an unfamiliar sign-in can be spotted.
If you are a guest
- What the host uploaded: usually a name, and a telephone number or email address so an invitation can reach you.
- Your reply: whether you are coming, who is coming with you, and any meal preference you give.
- Your arrival: if the host uses check-in, that your invitation was scanned and when.
Card details never reach us
Payments are handled by our payment provider. Your card or bank details go to them, not to us. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, an order reference, and what we need to issue your invoice.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
- To provide what you bought — performance of our contract with you.
- To send messages about an event — on the host's instructions, and on the basis that a guest invited to a function reasonably expects to hear about it.
- To issue invoices and meet tax obligations — a legal obligation.
- To keep the platform secure — our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.
How long we keep it
- Event content and guest lists follow the event's own lifecycle: the active period of your plan, then a 15-day grace period, then archive (5 days on Free, 10 on a paid plan), after which the media is permanently deleted. We warn you before deletion and give you a one-click export. The Permanent Archive add-on keeps the originals indefinitely if you buy it.
- Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires, which is longer than the event itself.
- Your account is kept while it is open. Close it and we delete what we are not required to keep.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We use these kinds of service provider, and only for the purpose named:
- Hosting and storage — where the platform runs and where media is kept.
- The payment provider — to take payment and confirm it.
- Message delivery — to send an invitation by SMS, email or WhatsApp on a host's instruction.
Some of these operate outside India. Where information is transferred abroad it is protected by the safeguards the applicable law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to some uses of it. Under the DPDP Act you may also nominate someone to exercise these rights if you cannot. Under the GDPR you may also ask us to restrict processing and to receive your data in a portable form.
Write to [email protected]. We will answer within the time the law allows, and sooner where we can. If you are a guest asking about your details, see the note near the top — the host can usually act faster than we can.
Children
NamVizha is for adults arranging events. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. A host may of course include children in a guest list — a family attends together — and those details are handled exactly like any other guest's.
Complaints
Tell us first: [email protected]. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the supervisory authority in your country if you are in the EU or UK.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and we will tell customers directly where a change materially affects them.
